About bubble letters
Bubble letters are rounded, inflated capitals with a thick outline. People use them for birthday banners, school posters, journals and notes, usually with a bright fill and a darker outline so the letters seem to float off the page.
The generator draws your text with a rounded display face and lets you choose the fill colour, the outline thickness and a hard drop shadow. The PNG has a transparent background, so it drops straight onto a slide, a sticker sheet or a card. The printable version is outline only, with a white inside, so a child can colour it in.
To draw bubble letters by hand, start with the plain letter in pencil, trace a second outline about a finger-width outside the first, round every corner, and then erase the inside line. A small curved highlight in one corner makes the letters look glossy.

How do I make bubble letters?
Type your text above, choose a fill and outline, and press Download PNG. By hand, draw the plain letter, outline it a finger-width outside, round the corners, and erase the first line.
Can I use the images for school or business?
Yes. The generator uses an open-licence font (SIL Open Font License), so images you make are yours to use, including on products.
Why is the background transparent?
A transparent PNG lets you place the letters on any colour or photo. Use the white background option if you plan to print on plain paper.
Can I get a version to colour in?
Yes. Press Printable outline for a white-filled version with a thick outline that prints cleanly in black and white.
